Supporting my Dreams – US B/C Ski Team Fundraiser
Hello!
I hope you have had a fantastic summer and are as eager for the coming winter as I am. As you may know, I have decided to pursue my education as a full time Freshman at the University of Denver, Ski for the DU Ski Team, as well as start my second year on the Womens US Ski Team (C-Team). This past season was a great learning opportunity for me. Competing in my first two World Cup Events, and finishing fourth in Slalom at the World Junior Championships has continued to feed my passion and drive for this sport.
Balancing this workload over the course of the coming season is a fun challenge that I am tackling with everything I have. Affording the costs associated with each of the commitments is something my family has agreed to support. So, when the US Ski team offered to help the members of this years B & C teams by coordinating a fundraiser to offset our out of pocket costs, I was very thankful for the opportunity to help my family with these costs.
Our fundraiser is scheduled for November 13, at Yama Sushi, Vail from 6:30 to 9:00. This is a great opportunity to meet our entire team while we are training at the USST Speed Center in Copper. I also realize that fall is a busy time for many of us with work, getting ready for the holidays, and other commitments. The team has provided a way for people who won’t be able to make the in -person fundraiser to support us with donations online.
