Earned athletic scholarship and invitation to join the University of Denver NCAA Division 1 Ski Team. As a freshman competed and won first NCAA Division Race, DU Invitational, Loveland, CO as well as first NorAm Race, Panorama, B.C. Chose to represent US at World Junior Championships instead of qualifying for NCAA championships.
