35 year ago Ollie Larsson, in partnership with Rowland Hall, created the state’s first and only high school ski racing team in 1982. Larsson was known for his coaching style and successful program. Over the past 28 years he lead the program he turned out dozens of Olympians, world champions and NCCA All-Americans.
When he retired an annual award was created in his name to recognize one Rowmarker for their outstanding achievements in skiing, academics and as a team member. What an incredible honor to recieve the 2017 recipient of the Ollie Larson Award.
Here I am with my coach Jim Tschabrun after he gave an incredible speech about my results and contributions this past season. Rowmark is a special program and it has really shaped the person and skier I am today.
